What to Expect at Your First Visit

We know that walking through our doors for the first time can feel a little scary. Whether you think you might be pregnant or you’re just not sure what to do next, we want you to know that you’ll be met with compassion, not judgment.

Here’s what you can expect when you schedule your first visit at our Pregnancy Care Center.

A Warm, Friendly Welcome

From the moment you arrive, our goal is to make you feel comfortable and cared for. You’ll be greeted by our staff or volunteers, who are trained to provide compassionate, confidential support. We want you to feel safe, seen, and heard.

Free, Lab-Quality Pregnancy Testing

If you haven’t confirmed your pregnancy yet, we’ll start with a free lab-quality pregnancy test. These are more accurate than most over-the-counter tests and administered by trained professionals in a private, respectful setting.

Private Consultation

You’ll meet one-on-one with a trained client advocate or nurse. This is a judgment-free space where you can talk openly about your situation, ask questions, and share how you’re feeling. Whether you’re scared, uncertain, or just need someone to talk to—we’re here for you.

Information on Your Options

We believe every woman deserves to make an informed decision. During your consultation, you’ll receive medically accurate information about all your pregnancy options, including:

  • Parenting
  • Adoption
  • Abortion procedures and risks

We’ll never pressure you—our role is to support you, not to tell you what to do.

Free Limited Ultrasound (If Eligible)

If your pregnancy test is positive and meets certain criteria, we may offer a free limited ultrasound to confirm viability and determine how far along you are. This can be a very helpful part of understanding your next steps.

Next Steps and Ongoing Support

At the end of your visit, we’ll help you determine what support and resources may be helpful for you moving forward. Whether it’s parenting classes, material assistance (like diapers and baby clothes), or referrals for housing and medical care—we’re here for the long haul.

You Don’t Have to Have It All Figured Out

Coming in for your first appointment doesn’t mean you’ve made a decision—it just means you’re looking for answers. And that’s a strong, brave first step.
